Leroy is the CEO and Owner of Dark Horse, bringing over 30 years of leadership in Utility Construction, Earthwork, and General Contracting. His extensive experience includes managing large-scale, multi-million-dollar contracts, optimizing material projections, and ensuring the seamless execution of complex project schedules.


With over 150 hours of safety and quality control training, Leroy is deeply committed to operational excellence and safety standards. He has successfully led companies with large fleets and sizable teams, demonstrating his ability to oversee high-stakes projects with precision and efficiency.

Brian’s career spans roles from Field Engineer to General Manager, giving him a well-rounded perspective of the construction industry. His broad experience across all contracting types, combined with proven leadership skills, makes him an invaluable asset to any project team.

Todd has over 26 years of diverse experience in construction and project management. He brings a proven track record of successfully leading projects from conception through completion. His experience spans roles as Senior Project Manager and Project Manager at industry-leading companies, where he has collaborated closely with real estate developers, city officials, contractors, and financial institutions.


He has expertly managed all phases of construction, from design and city approvals to procurement and turnover. His most recent work includes overseeing notable developments such as the revitalization of a historic lodge on Lake Vermillion and a commercial property project in Waconia. He is dedicated to delivering high-quality results that meet organizational goals, consistently completing projects on time and within budget while fostering strong relationships across all project stakeholders.

Having completed hundreds of projects across various sectors—including Higher Education, Hospitality, Medical, Multi-Family, Mission Critical, Municipal, Industrial, and Commercial Construction—he brings a wealth of knowledge to every project he undertakes.


Mike's strengths lie in his leadership, collaborative approach, and unwavering commitment to delivering projects that consistently exceed client expectations. As the senior cost consultant, he oversees all estimating needs, from initial concept through the completion of construction drawings. He also plays a pivotal role in identifying and addressing potential constructability issues during the project design phase, ensuring a smooth and efficient construction process.

Mikel Humbert

Mikel Humbert

Senior Superintendent 



Mikel brings strong on-site leadership and hands-on construction expertise, ensuring that each project runs smoothly, safely, and stays on schedule.


Qualifications:
Mike is the General Superintendent for Dark Horse. Previously, he served as a Senior Superintendent at Rochon Corporation, leading on-site construction teams, and at Welsh, Minnesota, from 2014 to 2020, where he coordinated on-site operations and maintained high standards to ensure projects stayed on track and met scheduled deadlines. Prior to Rochon, he held similar roles, focusing on safety and ensuring an organized work environment.


From 2013 to 2014, he worked with Elder Jones in Minnesota in a similar capacity, managing project timelines and team performance on-site. His experience as a Senior Superintendent continued with Steiner Construction from 2010 to 2013, with responsibilities focused on project leadership, safety compliance, and site cleanliness. From 1995 to 2010, he co-owned CM Construction in Minnesota, overseeing the construction of strip malls and multi-family housing developments and managing both hands-on work and supervisory duties to ensure successful project completions.

His daily responsibilities center on overseeing onsite operations, including meticulous coordination with subcontractors to ensure project timelines are met.

Prior to transitioning into project engineering, Trevor held multiple field leadership roles specializing in acoustical ceilings, sound panels, and free-hanging cloud ceiling systems.
